Promotion joy for Tynemouth Air Cadet

Published by admin on

The Squadron has a new Cadet Warrant Officer (CWO).

Cadet Flight Sergeant Sean Sutherland has been promoted to the highest rank following a tough interview by the Wing Board to assess his suitability for the role.

This now makes CWO Sutherland the most senior NCO (non-commissioned officer) and head of 346 (Tynemouth) Squadron’s cadet NCO team. He forms the bridge between the cadets and the Squadron’s adult volunteers and enjoys similar responsibilities to those of the uniform staff team.

To be considered for the rank of CWO, a cadet must have worked their way up through the promotion ladder to the rank of Flight Sergeant, be over 18-years-old, and be both mature and competent enough to take on the extra responsibility,

Everyone at 346 (Tynemouth) Squadron would like to extend their congratulations to CWO Sutherland and to wish him the best of luck in his new role.
