Welcome to the 346 (Tynemouth) Squadron website, we’re pleased you’ve taken the time to learn a little more about the Air Cadets and in particular, Tynemouth Squadron. Hopefully you’re here because you are interested in joining us or finding out a little more about us.

346 (Tynemouth) Squadron has come a long way over the past five years,  growing from strength to strength in the community and developing the range of activities and opportunities we can offer our young people. Whether you are interested in a career in the Armed Forces or just want to make friends 346 Squadron is a great place to gain skills and have fun with like-minded people.

Our Sqn is driven by a clear vision; to encourage well rounded cadets, to provide a traditional military experience,  to help the community when we can and to strive for excellence in all we do.

Although we’ve just celebrated our 75th year, we are a forward looking unit with a vibrant and dynamic training programme. Our cadets have access to state of the art equipment and resources including a 3D printer to support their aviation studies.

I hope this website gives you an insight into our unit and welcome you to contact us should you have any further enquiries.

With best wishes,

Flt Lt Dan Laidler BA(Hons) RAFVR(T)
Officer Commanding
346 (Tynemouth) Squadron
